The Security of Los Angeles Story
Security of Los Angeles (SOLA) began in 1965 as Tri County Alarm, a family owned and operated business.
The Company specialized in providing custom security to successful owners of Southern California based businesses who prioritized security protection for their businesses and their upscale residences. The common thread of the customer was a demand for prompt service and repair response, which larger national security companies could not provide due to budget constraints and strict protocol.
In 1975, Tri County Alarm became Security of Los Angeles, often referred to as SOLA. The Company continued to grow as a Concierge Security Service catering to businesses looking for an alternative to being serviced by national companies that could not exercise flexibility.
In 1985, Security of Los Angeles was approached by the Neutrogena Corporation, makers of high quality skin care products, to provide full security services for their expansive campus of manufacturing, warehouses, and offices located near the Los Angeles International Airport.
Neutrogena’s founder, and then CEO, Lloyd Coastson, challenged Security of Los Angeles to provide a Concierge quality service to large businesses operation. Neutrogena’s satisfactions lead to the controlled expansion of the Company.
Celebrating some 50 years, Security of Los Angeles is now one of Southern California’s largest independently owned security companies. Though we service some of the most prominent businesses and organizations in the United States, we have never strayed from our humble beginnings as a Concierge to the independent business that demands value and quality, and appreciates an organization that values its customers above bureaucracy and procedures.
